naturalbridge

Natural Bridge State Park is located south west of Baraboo near the small towns of Leland and Denzer. The park is home to the largest natural arch in Wisconsin which stands about 35 feet above the ground. There is a small cave underneath which was occupied by humans between 8000 & 9000 B.C. Natual Bridge state park covers about 17 acres and offers a picnic area and some nice hiking trails. A Wisconsin State Park Sticker is required. You can self-pay onsite.

Editor’s Note: This is a nice little park to visit and the natural bridge takes on a different mood with every season. Reaching the park is a bit of a drive. From Wisconsin Dells you would head south on Highway 12 and turn west on County Road C near the old Badger Ammunition Plant. From there you have 11 miles of twisting and turning country road though some classic Wisconsin scenery. County C would make a nice Bike route as well. Just don’t expect to stop anywhere for a coke.. there are no mini-marts anywhere to be found.
